Qualification Requirements
•         Minimum Education:

The manager of the Heart & Vascular Imaging department is responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, evaluation and operational management of personnel and services.  This person also participates in strategic planning and the setting of future direction in conjunction with the Heart & Vascular Imaging Administrative Committee.  The manager coordinates the activities of a multidisciplinary team to include a combination of RN’s, CNA’s, x-ray techs, surg. techs and CV techs.  This role directly supervises a total of 36 FTE’s with the assistance of a supervisor.

The Heart and Vascular Imaging department is made up of four sections and they include:  Diagnostic & Interventional Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, Peripheral Vascular and Outpatient Prep & Hold.  We provide the full spectrum of standard & state-of the-art procedures in each section (percutaneous AAA, Impella, PFO closure, valvuloplasty, A Fib. ablation, etc.).  The Heart & Vascular Imaging area provides an average of 8100 exams annually.  The department currently consists of 3 Cath Suites, 1 EP Lab and 3 Vascular Imaging Suites (1 of these is set up as a Hybrid OR).

In collaboration with senior administration, nursing and physician leadership, the Executive Director is also responsible for the ongoing evaluation of the Heart & Vascular Service Line for the health system. The Executive Director provides leadership to develop and achieve assigned goals through efficient and effective clinical, operational and fiscal management and is accountable for ensuring that the Heart & Vascular Service Line is efficiently run by the department’s managers in regards to providing quality patient care, financial responsibilities, adequate staffing and scheduling, and accountability.  She/he is also accountable for developing and implementing effective programs that assess measure and improve the quality of care delivered to patients.

Education: Master’s degree is required.

Licensure:  Registered Nurse, Registered Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist, or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive clinical experience in the heart & vascular service line, including a minimum of ten (10) years experience leading a heart & vascular service line.

Description

Maintains data and distributes reports for the FHZ Daily Patient Experience Report, HCAHPS, and Press Ganey.  Role includes leadership and management responsibilities for the Discharge Phone Call RN and main hospital Welcome/Reception desk employees and/or volunteers.

Qualifications

5 years experience in patient experience management.  Minimum Bachelors Degree required A college degree is required; a degree in nursing is preferred.  The individual does not necessarily have to be an RN.

An ability to establish working relationships with diverse groups and individual, medical staff and other health care disciplines. Some positions require certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA). RN licensure by South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
