Hospital has an exciting leadership opportunity in our Heart and Vascular Imaging area, where you will work with a collaborative health care team consisting of clinical staff, providers and ancillary staff.   Hospital is a 500+ bed teaching hospital and is one of the largest rural referral hospitals in the nation. Hospital is a magnet designated hospital.

The manager of the Heart & Vascular Imaging department is responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, evaluation and operational management of personnel and services.  This person also participates in strategic planning and the setting of future direction in conjunction with the Heart & Vascular Imaging Administrative Committee.  The manager coordinates the activities of a multidisciplinary team to include a combination of RN’s, CNA’s, x-ray techs, surg. techs and CV techs.  This role directly supervises a total of 36 FTE’s with the assistance of a supervisor.

The Heart and Vascular Imaging department is made up of four sections and they include:  Diagnostic & Interventional Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, Peripheral Vascular and Outpatient Prep & Hold.  We provide the full spectrum of standard & state-of the-art procedures in each section (percutaneous AAA, Impella, PFO closure, valvuloplasty, A Fib. ablation, etc.).  The Heart & Vascular Imaging area provides an average of 8100 exams annually.  The department currently consists of 3 Cath Suites, 1 EP Lab and 3 Vascular Imaging Suites (1 of these is set up as a Hybrid OR).

This is a health system that is looking for DON who be responsible for several clinics.  The Director of nursing serves as the Clinic’s senior nurse providing clinical expertise, training and education for clinical staff and leadership.  Provides consultation and recommendations to senior leadership in regard to nursing policies, procedures, practices, standards, education and staff development.  Works collaboratively with clinic management team to implement clinical best practice.  Serves as the nursing liaison with nursing leadership of the hospital.  Promotes and supports the process of quality improvement in patient care.  Responsible for supervision and overall management of float pool staff.  You have a current RN license and are BSN prepared.  MSN preferred. You have 5 yrs nursing experience, with at least three years experience in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting strongly preferred.  We will consider a combination of leadership experience in a case management or quality setting.  Demonstrated leadership experience required. Direct management experience preferred. Prior electronic health record experience desired.   LSS Green Belt required within 1 year of hire. Relocation will be offered in the amount of 5-7k. Possible sign on bonus. Small number of direct reports. Reports in to the Regional Administrator (COO)

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree; a Masters degree is a plus.  Candidates should possess at least 3 to 5 years of experience working directly in fund-raising with hospital’s or other established not-for-profit organizations.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet with individuals to establish relationships, solicit and obtain annual and renewal donations.  Someone with a background in Annual Giving is required. We would be open to candidates that don’t have a lot of experience and might be interested in stepping up into a Director level role. We need someone who is a good presenter, articulate, open, outgoing and not afraid to ask donors for gifts/contributions.

• Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services as well as meets regulatory standards.
• Oversees/participates as appropriate in the performance management, including annual evaluation of clinical staff.
• Leads Service Excellence Initiatives to improve upon patient care; develops and implements subsequent curriculum.
• Demonstrates patient centric care as a priority and integrates this into decision making process, communications, and practices, and seeks to learn the “voice of the customer” to provide direction.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements;
• Assists with EHR implementation and serves as a resource for departmental colleagues.
• Assists with Ministry Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Participates in joint planning with Regional Health Care hospitals,and ancillary services.
Qualifications

MDS Coordinator

We will consider candidates that have documented experience in MDS and we prefer RN but will reveiw LPN
Summary:  Responsible for the timely scheduling, completion, and transmission of MDS.
Qualifications:
Education: 
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, RN preferred.
Licenses/Certification: 
- Valid nursing license in the state employed.
- Valid CPR certification.
Experience:
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors and guides the completion of PPS and OBRA assessments and RAPS.
