The NURSING Director will be responsible for 191.8 FTE’s and a $16.3 million dollar operating expense with 5 operating budgets.BSN with any Masters degree is required with at least 3 years Director Med Surg experience.
THE POSITION
The NURSING Director is a leadership position created to enhance the Medical Surgical and Family Birth units and to bring these units together toward a common goal.  The Nursing Director will also work with their departments to elevate the nursing practice.  The Nursing Director reports directly to the Vice President, Nursing. This individual will be extremely visible throughout managing the ongoing operations, leading continuous improvement, and achieving excellence, and outstanding customer service.
The Director must provide direction to all staff as well as enjoy coaching and mentoring those who report to him/her, work collaboratively with system peers who have hospital operational responsibilities, and in turn, know how to best support the Vice President, Patient Care Services and keep her informed on appropriate issues.  The person who will succeed best is one of high energy, who takes initiative, uses common sense, and is committed to the vision of Patient Care Services and the organization.

Functions:

Qualifications:
*       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field plus seven years experience in marketing, marketing communications, sales, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*       Three years of leadership experience.
*       Technical interest in social networking and media required.
*       Experience in Health & Wellness preferred.
*       Experience with internet based products and marketing.
*       Experience developing brand and products.
*       Ability to apply marketing concepts, product development and brand strategy (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, brand development, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, market research, market objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans.
*       Knowledge of product positioning strategies and creating and supporting innovative market introduction, awareness and adoption strategies and tactics.
*       Knowledge of the following areas: consumer understanding from a global perspective, brand annual/season plan, project management, brand strategy development, brand equity development and management, leadership of brand innovation, human resource management, business strategy formulation, information management, and product and package development.
*       Ability to apply basic marketing operating strategies (e.g., media planning, pricing strategies, trade/consumer promotions) used in the execution of marketing plans.
*       Knowledge of procedures used to drive increases in volume and brand equity (e.g., marketing programs, events, etc.).
*       Strong knowledge of, and proficiency in, various analytical tools, concepts and principles including their applicability in various situations.
*       Awareness of emerging marketing and general business issues.
*       Ability to work in a fast-paced market-driven environment.

The medical dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who has knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment, is cognizant of procedures commonly used in brachytherapy and has the education and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the medical physicists and radiation oncologist.

Possess a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree with a major in the physical or biological sciences, or is a registered radiation therapy technologist.  Together with either of these credentials the applicant also demonstrates completion of two or more years on-the-job training and work experience in medical dosimetry under the supervision of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist and Medical Physicist.

Possesses an Associate of Science, a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a field other than those of the physical or biological sciences.  Together with this degree, the applicant also demonstrates completion of on-the-job training in medical dosimetry under the supervision of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist and Medical Physicist and has a subsequent period of supervised work experience in medical dosimetry of a minimum of four years.

Must be a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. 3-5 years experience preferred. Must have experience in IMRT treatment planning.  Experience with Pinnacle TPS, and MOSAIQ preferred
