Position Overview:

The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for managing the overall functions of the professional fee revenue cycle to ensure maximization of revenue and cash flow while maintaining the highest levels of patient, physician, employee and other customer satisfaction; this includes management oversight of all business related functions of the patient visit from point of entry to accurate adjudication of the patients’ accounts.  Specific areas of responsibility include Revenue Cycle Training, Credentialing Registration, Claims Management, Billing, Collections, Patient Insurance, Data Processing, Integrity of Patient Accounts, Accounts Receivable Management, practice management system file maintenance, and third party revenue cycle vendors. Required Education:

Preferred Education:
•         Master’s degree.

Required Experience:
•         Ten years professional level experience in physician practice revenue cycle operations with at least 5 years experience in a physician practice leadership role including experience that provides good understanding of physician practice structure and operations including all elements of revenue cycle and patient accounting is required.
•         Experience managing patient registration, time of service collections and charge entry functions in a multi-specialty setting.
•         Knowledge of electronic billing processes and requirements, compliance issues impacting revenue, code sets and both governmental and commercial payer reimbursement methodologies for inpatient and outpatient services.
•         Experience implementing changes that impact revenue cycle.
•         Demonstrated extensive knowledge of third-party and insurance company operating procedures, regulations and billing requirements, and government reimbursement programs.
•         Strong knowledge of ICD9, CPT and HCPCS.
•         Experience that demonstrates ability to add value to the organization through proactive analysis of and resolution to potential bottlenecks that may negatively affect the organization’s reimbursement and accounts receivable.
•         Demonstrated success in yielding significant results in improving patient accounts receivable.
•         Strong PC and office software skills.
•         Excellent command of medical information systems for billing and accounts receivable, spreadsheets, reporting applications, medical terminology, coding and office procedures.

This position is a working director position, willing to step in and take films when necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited radiology  program
BS, BA or management experience, preferably 5 years or more in an acute care hospital.
 
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Previous supervisory experience in an acute care hospital.

Pharmacist Days 7/7

Maintains strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses accordingly.
Consults with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
Determines and consults on possible drug interactions.
Assists in the supervision and training of pharmacy technician personnel.
Participates in Drug Utilization Review.
Assists with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. 
Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
Orients and mentors new staff members.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
