Director, Women Services – New Mexico
• Great, beautiful retirement area in New Mexico
• Level 2B Nursery with potential to move to Level 3 nursery in 2012 - ‘13′ bed capacity
• Approx 80-90 deliveries per month - planned 1000 deliveries for 2011 year end - 6 delivery rooms, 2 OR rooms, 2 ante partum rooms
• GYN - 15-20 patients per month - total beds in PP/GYN - 13
• OB providers - one practice comprising 4 OB physicians, 2 nurse midwives
• Neonatology practice comprises 5 physicians, 4 NP’s
• Pediatrics - 7 beds; average 1-2 patients per day annualized
• Primary c section rate for past 2 years 13%. Total c section rate 23% (some of the lowest rates in the southwest part of the country)
• 50 direct reports (comprising RN’s, OB techs, C.N.A.’s , 1 manager)
• Staff is cohesive, well trained, work well as a team; this is a well managed area with seasoned staff. No current openings
• Qualifications: 3+ year’s recent experience in a Director role. Certifications preferred. No consultants!

PHYSICIAN ASSITANT OR NURSE PRACTITIONER – FAMILY PRACTICE
The ideal candidate should be motivated, energetic, have strong leadership skills, great bedside manner, and an excellent team spirit. Must be interested in expanding current knowledge base, have strong clinical skills, and desire to work in a fast paced friendly environment. Ability to see patients of all ages is essential. There is a cohesive, supportive staff and physician supervision. This is a great opportunity to develop long lasting patient relationships and work with a very dynamic team.
Pay is very competitive for the area and is dependent on experience. Compensation includes contributions to continuing medical education, malpractice insurance, 401(k) and health insurance. There is no hospital on-call requirement or inpatient work. Work week is Monday-Friday.
Education:
• Required: Graduate of an accredited Physicians Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree Program
Licensure/Certifications:
• Required: Current professional license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Required: Physician Assistant only - successful completion of the national certifying examination given by the NCCPA
• Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Experience:
• Required: At least one year experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice
Salary:

The Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience in hospital environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Pharmacy Residency at an accredited program preferred techniques).
Extensive knowledge of medicine (drugs, dosages, side effects, handling), and extensive knowledge of the legal, regulatory and standards of practice of the profession. The ability to integrate knowledge into daily practice. Considerable skills in literature and protocol evaluation and development of critical pathways and best practice guidelines in a multidisciplinary setting. Considerable skills in working within a computerized pharmacy department and skill in using a personnel computer and software such as word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to serve as a role model for staff pharmacists. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
