Job Summary:
Perform Human Resources duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment/recruitment, compensation, performance management and benefit administration. Abide by and actively support the philosophy of the facility. Administer/abide by human resource policies and procedures.
Essential Duties:
Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
Work with department directors and the Vice President of Human Resources to respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
Facilitate and/or provide human resource training to staff, leadership and physicians.
Interview, screen and recruit job applicants to fill entry level, professional and technical job openings.
Plan and conduct benefit sessions to education and assist employees regarding all company offered benefit and retirement plans; keep records of benefit plan participation such as insurance and pension plan.
Respond to inquiries from department directors, supervisors and employees regarding policies, procedures and programs.
Maintain continuing education program through administration of education assistance and scholarships. Determine eligibility and appropriate reimbursement amount.
Maintain case management of disability claims, case reviews, return-to-work, correspondence, etc.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree required.
Experience:
1-2 years previous experience in human resources is required.
License/Certification:
Certification in Human Resources Management, PHR or SPHR is preferred.
