Summary: Responsible for the organization, staffing, planning, budgeting, training, technology,orientation and quality improvement of Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catherization Lab, Cardiac Observation Area (Pre and Post recovery for cardiac diagnostic/ibterventional and peripheral vascular interventional procedures), and Electrophysiology Program. Ensures that personnel adhere to hospital, departmental performance and regulatory standards and guidelines. Works to ensure that the identified needs of the medical staff, patient, family, related departments co-workers and other customers are addressed in as timely and efficient manner within the health system. Participates in leadership role in program assessment, improvements and new program implementation.

Reports to CNO
RN with med/surg clinical background
3-5 years management experience
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
Will consider ADN with experience

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required. MSN or masters in related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years acute care experience required with critical care preferred, including two years of management or supervisory experience.

Licenses/Certificates: Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state for which you are applying.  Current BCLS and ACLS upon hire.  Certification preferred.

The Registered Nurse, as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care.  According to the established standards of nursing practice and standards of care, he/she demonstrates an ability to make clinical judgments in an efficient and effective manner, without supervision, for all ages.  He/she demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession.  He/she assumes ultimate responsibility and accountability in managing his/her patient care and in assisting others in the management of patient care.  The Registered Nurse reports to the  Director of Registry and the Director of the assigned unit.  He/she may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, which may result in possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and/or harmful elements.  This position has the responsibility for the assessment, treatment and care of the patient in the following age groups: pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric 
Qualifications
Current Florida Registered Nurse License; Advance Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

The Operating Room RN provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.  The tasks and responsibilities include:

Assesses, plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after a surgical procedure.
Provides nursing care to the patient undergoing surgical procedures.
Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients.
Participates in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
Carries out physician orders.
Administers prescribed medications, applies dressings, monitors vital signs.
Assists physician during procedures.
Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.

 The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of  Hospital. The Registered Nurse in this department provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 100+ years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.

Current license from the Florida Board of Nursing. BLS and ACLS required upon hire.

Prior ED experience desired. ENPC preferred. TNCC preferred.
