Description
Responsible for the operations of nursing service for the Heart/Lung transplant program. Develops educational programs for patient and family, nursing staff, and med staff. Coordinates donor procurement and recipient preparation by maintaining waiting list with UNOS, and communications with transplant team. Coordinates admission process and pre-op preparation. Facilitates the evaluation and listing process of potential transplant patient. Responsible for database management of UNOS waiting list; completion of TIEDI forms; internal departmental database.
Qualifications
RN license, BSN, BLS issued by American Heart Association, and experience taking Donor call are required. CCTC is preferred. Bilingual preferred
