In this position you are responsible for developing, conducting and evaluating inservice programs as well as orientation for new staff members. You will also establish educational policies and procedures; acting as a resource person to staff and management while participating in Process Improvement activities. In this position you will also serve on special nursing and hospital wide committees.
Requirements:

 RN license
BSN required
Master’s degree in Nursing or Education preferred
BLS/ACLS required
Recent experience in an Acute Care Setting required

Position Summary: The Nurse Educator functions as an educational and clinical resource for Patient Services personnel. Educational services include the development, coordination, and/or instruction of educational programs designed to meet the needs of the professional and non-professional personnel and which are in accordance with the goals and objectives of the hospital and the Patient Services Department. The educator will function as an informal consultant to facilitate holistic nursing care of patients and their families/significant other. He/she will also be actively involved as planner; facilitator and/or participant in any ongoing research related to the clinical outcomes of patients or education outcomes of staff.
