We’re looking for someone with at least one year of experience on a med/surge unit and a desire to learn new skills to work on our fast-paced, 28-bed Cardiac / Telemetry Unit. If you have never worked on a cardiac/telemetry unit, but have an interest, we have a Nurse Educator who will work with you during your orientation period and is available for continuing education and support while working on the unit. The cardiac catheterization nurse will be an active member of the cardiac catheterization team performing nursing, technical & administrative tasks related to cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology/ablation & tilt testing. Primary duties will relate to care of the patient during procedures, but will extend to the pre & post procedure period. Nursing skills such as placement of electrodes & restraints, starting an intravenous line, dispensing medications, monitoring vital signs, doing physical assessments, performing sterilization procedures, maintaining sterile technique & maintaining the patient flowsheet are essential job functions.
