Director of Revenue Cycle

They are using the McKesson - Star/Horizon platform to process Revenue Cycle.  They are part of a larger health system as well as a part of a joint venture.  This position oversees approximately 200 FTEs.  This position covers Hospital and Physician Billing, however, physician billing and revenue cycle have separate resources. This position would have direct and matrix reporting structures to all things revenue cycle.  This position reports to the VP of Finance/CFO.

Summary:
This position manages Patient Access, Patient Accounting and Medical Records, which includes the management of personnel, business process analysis, budget participation, cost management development of favorable relationships with Physicians and other stock-holders as well as payers and vendors, effective interaction with other internal customers, management of system utilization and problems.

Accountabilities:
Participates in annual development of the Revenue Cycle cost centers operating & capital budget.  Manages resources within the approved budget.  Maintain an adequate staffing compliment in terms of skill set and labor allocation to work arrival.  Ensure that for every critical process/task is in place to measure performance.  Train and mentor all new and existing employees in hospital mission.  Manage vendor procurement and vendor performance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
7-10 years hospital management experience in a comparably sized facility, primarily as a Revenue Cycle Director or a Director of Medical Records, Patient Access pr Patient Accounting.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, HBOC STAR and general office equipment.

Medical Technologist

Day or Night Shift available
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological and immunoassay procedures on body fluids which will aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of the treatment of diseases while maintaining the highest standards of medical technology.  He/She must maintain the highest standards of any and all accrediting agencies.  Perform related quality control and clerical work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.     Effectively uses laboratory equipment.
2.     Performs and reports testing on patient specimens and OC specimens rapidly and without delay.
3.     Demonstrates competence in performing testing procedures.
4.     Perform other duties as necessary for efficient operation of the department.
5.     Demonstrates Customer Service and behaviors appropriately.
6.     Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, qualify of care or the services delivered.
7.     Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system.  Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
8.     Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm.
9.     Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.
10.  Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
·         Degreed Medical Technologist or other qualification recognized by Lab Certification agencies required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
·         Florida Licensure required
·         Florida Licensure in all five specialty areas required
·         BLS certified within 90 days of hire preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
·         1-3 years preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
·         Comprehensive knowledge of Hematology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology and related sciences.
·         Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
·         Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
·         Ability to use independent judgment.
·         Ability to remain calm, to think and act quickly and logically in a crisis situation.
·         Good customer service skills

Director Level Human Resources Experience in Hospital Setting highly REQUIRED

Responsible for overseeing all human resources issues including staffing, staff relations, orientation and development, compensation and benefits. Directs the Human Resources Department, is a resource person for the department.  Develops and recommends human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of the facility. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.  Reports Directly to CEO

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Monitors administration to established standards and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies.
Oversees and manages the work of reporting Human Resources staff. Encourages the ongoing development of the Human Resources staff.
Develops and monitors an annual budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, and administration.
Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments.
Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Establishes departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
Ensures that department employees attend all mandatory hospital/department in-services and staff meetings. Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Manages the maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems.

Training and Development:
Defines all Human Resources training programs, and assigns the authority / responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs. Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.
Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
Completes and conducts job descriptions, performance appraisals, competencies for all staff within 90 days of initial hire and annually for duration of employee tenure.
Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or on boarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.
Assists managers with the selection and contracting of external training programs and consultants.
Assists with the development of and monitors the spending of the corporate training budget.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience Required
Bachelors degree  or higher preferred
SHRM certification preferred
5-10+ years Human Resources Experience preferred
5-10+ years Director level experience preferred
Director Level Human Resources Experience in Hospital Setting highly REQUIRED

Under the general direction of the Director of Cardiology, the Cardiac Cath Lab RN coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care as related to the Cardiology Department. Administers medications, monitors patient vital signs/EKG, performs continual patient assessment during patient’s stay in the Cardiology Department. Documents accurate nursing records and patient data. Coordinates patient teaching and post procedure assessment. Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Assists in in-service education. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcome analysis and performance improvement.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Current state nursing license required; ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment. Excellent interpersonal and team skills required. Basic computer knowledge preferred.
