Description

Director Level Human Resources Experience in Hospital Setting highly REQUIRED

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Monitors administration to established standards and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies.
Oversees and manages the work of reporting Human Resources staff. Encourages the ongoing development of the Human Resources staff.
Develops and monitors an annual budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, and administration.
Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments.
Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Establishes departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
Ensures that department employees attend all mandatory hospital/department in-services and staff meetings. Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Manages the maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems.

Training and Development:
Defines all Human Resources training programs, and assigns the authority / responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs. Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.
Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
Completes and conducts job descriptions, performance appraisals, competencies for all staff within 90 days of initial hire and annually for duration of employee tenure.
Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or on boarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.
Assists managers with the selection and contracting of external training programs and consultants.
Assists with the development of and monitors the spending of the corporate training budget.

Current pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and a current pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.Completion of a 1-year pharmacy practice residency, specialty residency, or fellowship, or at least 3 years of pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems required.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological and immunoassay procedures on body fluids which will aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of the treatment of diseases while maintaining the highest standards of medical technology.  He/She must maintain the highest standards of any and all accrediting agencies.  Perform related quality control and clerical work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.     Effectively uses laboratory equipment.
2.     Performs and reports testing on patient specimens and OC specimens rapidly and without delay.
3.     Demonstrates competence in performing testing procedures.
4.     Perform other duties as necessary for efficient operation of the department.
5.     Demonstrates Customer Service and behaviors appropriately.
6.     Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, qualify of care or the services delivered.
7.     Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system.  Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
8.     Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm.
9.     Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.
10.  Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
·         Degreed Medical Technologist or other qualification recognized by Lab Certification agencies required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
·         Florida Licensure required
·         Florida Licensure in all five specialty areas required
·         BLS certified within 90 days of hire preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
·         1-3 years preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
·         Comprehensive knowledge of Hematology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology and related sciences.
·         Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
·         Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
·         Ability to use independent judgment.
·         Ability to remain calm, to think and act quickly and logically in a crisis situation.
·         Good customer service skills.

Clinical Coordinator Pharmacy/Panama City/Florida

 Under the direction of the Pharmacy Director, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs at  Medical Center.  Duties include but are not limited to:
Leads, analyzes, and appraises clinical pharmacy services provided to patients, physicians and ancillary departments within the facility.
Initiates, analyzes, and reviews monthly and annual reports to include adverse drug reaction reporting to determine compliance with departmental clinical initiatives and value propositions
Coordinates implementation of clinical initiatives to develop a cohesive environment with consistent direction and goals at the site level.
Oversees safe and appropriate pharmaceutical care for the patients of the facility by developing and utilizing evidence-based and best-practice protocols. Develops and implements policies and procedures. Promotes and supports safe medication management.
Shares the responsibility for formulary review, drug use evaluations, therapeutic drug protocols, drug information, and development and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services.
Shares responsibility for network and departmental publications, educational programs and pharmacy initiatives to promote pharmacy as a respected source of drug therapy information and as a disease management resource.
Serves as a liaison to Nursing and the Medical Staff and works directly with these groups to meet the needs of the department and the hospital. Serves as a resource for clinical services support at the other network sites.

RN Emergency Department/Panama City/Florida

 The Emergency Department RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.  The tasks and responsibilities include:

Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs.
Prioritizes patient care based on acuity level and available resources.
Carries out physician orders.
Assists physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.

Required Job Qualifications include:

Current Florida licensure as an RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
ACLS & PALS Certification required.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of the hospital.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.

Must hold a current license from the Florida Board of Nursing. BLS and PALS required upon hire or within one year of hire.

Must have one year of related RN labor & Delivery or Nursery experience.
