Job Summary:

•Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, employees, physicians and Director. Attends unit meetings and committees as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Manager.
•Provides a safe environment.  Initiates, supervises and directs staff in providing all necessary patient care during the shift and during emergency situations..  Gives patient care as needed.
•Performs investigation into accidents, critical incidents and complaints of patients, visitors, doctors and staff.  Reports important information to the Clinical Nurse Manager or Supervisor in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited six-year Pharm.D. Program. Residency program highly preferred. Consideration will be given to those candidates with a Bachelors and Masters degree, who possess significant hospital pharmacy experience. Requirements: Current Florida State Board of Pharmacy License.

Director/Laboratory/Employment

 responsible for integrating the Lab’s services with the hospital’s primary functions. Provides technical leadership and oversight for department personnel. Plans and coordinates daily activities for department personnel and performs appropriate technical duties to ensure the validity and accuracy of laboratory results. .

Must meet education and/or work experience criteria acceptable for technologist level designation as defined by CLIA and GDHR.

Technologist Certification as defined by GDHR required.
