The Director is responsible for integrating their department’s services with the hospitals primary functions. The director coordinates and integrates services within their department(s) and with other departments. The director develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. The director recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members (who are not licensed independent practitioners) meet the needs of patient care and non-patient care services. The director provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department(s). The director continuously assesses and improves their department’s performance and maintains appropriate quality control program. The director recommends space and other resources needed by the department and participates in selecting outside resources needed by their department(s). Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement.

Qualifications
Current license with the state of Florida as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS, ACLS and PALS certificates are required. Basic computer knowledge and skills and 1 year experience in acute care preferred.

This position is responsible for the everyday operations of the inpatient pharmacy services. This includes but is not limited to IV admixtures, unit dose drug distribution, intervention program, pharmacokinetic program, formulary management, patient education and involvement in other clinical activity programs to ensure appropriate and safe

Under general supervision of a Pharmacy Manager, is responsible for directly overseeing and participating in all aspects of the hospital medication use system. Must take personal responsibility and accountability for patient medication-related outcomes. Should represent themselves, the pharmacy department, and the medical center in a positive and courteous manner, assisting all customers promptly.
Job Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of state and federal laws and JCAHO. Healthcare Provider CPR required. BS Degree in Pharmacy required. Licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Florida. Pharm D preferred. General practice and or specialty residency training, and previous hospital experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications are a Current Florida Registered Nurse License. A minimum of 5 years recent acute hospital experience which includes experience in a role with leadership/supervisory responsibility, and experience in quality assessment, performance improvement, or continuous quality improvement. Experience in use of Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint applications with proven ability to work within and generate statistical reports. Presentation skills. Ability to read, write, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required by the job. Must possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities and departments, including medical staff members. Possess a valid Florida driver’s license. Ability to function independently with minimal management required. Willingness to dress and act in a professional manner at all times. Current status as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred. Bachelors degree in nursing or related field preferred.

The role of the Patient Service Instructor, RN is to provide department/hospital-wide specific clinical education and training through the implementation of learning activities based on staff learning needs and/or identified performance improvement issues.
BSN or currently enrolled in a collegiate BSN program. Florida Registered Nurse Licensure is required, BLS certification is required upon hire. ACLS preferred. 5-6 current full time years as a Professional Nurse in their respective clinical specialty
