Description
The Telemetry staff nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. The staff nurse initiates teaching and educates the patient and family/or significant other to attain optimal health.
Qualifications
Graduate of a professional nursing program. Current RN licensure. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required.

Assesses patient status with patient/family input and identifies age-appropriate patient care needs/problems that includes bio-physical, psycho-social, spiritual, environment, self-care, and educational needs and will serve to focus the provision of nursing care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
Plans individualized age appropriate evidence-based patient care through a interdisciplinary team approach and through interdisciplinary patient care conference, ongoing patient assessments, re-evaluation of patient problems or needs.

Under the general direction of the nurse manager, the staff nurse provides direct patient care, collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to a specific patient population. The staff nurse assesses patients needs, plans care, implements and evaluates the medical and nursing regimens in accordance with the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures, and standards. Licensure Required
Pharmacist to work Monday through Friday, rotating Day/Evening shifts. Also to work every other weekend and every third holiday. Ensures appropriate drug selection, rational drug therapy, and accurate drug distribution for hospital inpatients and outpatients. Serves as a drug information resource for patients and health care professionals.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy, eligible for license in state Maintains active membership in C.S.H.P., or A.S.H.P. or another national, regional, international or local. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of the hospital.
