eporting to the Nursing Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
 
1.       Provides appropriate nursing interventions. Competent in all routine nursing skills, including: (1) medication administration, (2) intravenous therapy, (3) management of indwelling catheters and drains, and (4) safe use of any medical equipment, such as glucose meters, IV pumps).

2.       Functions in the capacity of Charge Nurse per unit Charge Nurse guidelines, when assigned. Ensures that the operations and nursing care follow Medical Center and department policies and standards. Keeps Manager/Director informed when difficulties and/or unusual situations occur. Provides for allotted meal and break periods for staff.
Qualifications
 
 
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
      Current Florida RN license, BSN preferred
      Current BLS certification
      Current ACLS certification
      PALS or ENPC current or within 6 months of hire
CEN preferred

One to two years RN experience. (No New Grad RNs)
Current licensure as an RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
ACLS Certification Preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
