The Emergency Department RN provides care to a diverse population of patients with perceived or actual physical/emotional alterations in health that are undiagnosed or require further intervention. Emphasis at this level is on learning and performing entry level nursing skills for patients who require episodic, primary or acute care.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
Current RN license
Completion of basic Emergency Nursing Course*
Completion of Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia Course*
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification
Must complete Healthy Intervention course within three months of hire and renewed annually
*waived for individuals’s with previous documented ED employment who are able to demonstrate written and/or performance based proficiency within 30 days of start date.
Preferred:
Membership in a professional organization
Six months recent experience as an RN in an acute care facility

In accordance with physicians orders, the Occupational Therapist assesses, evaluates, plans, and carries out occupational therapy programs to restore maximum reasonable function and to minimize disability following disease, injury, or genetically acquired disabilities. Position tasks and responsibilities include:
Plans, organizes and conducts programs in a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational and social activities designed to help patients regain physical and or mental functioning or adjust to their handicaps.
Plans therapeutic care based on clinical assessment.
Teaches patient skills and techniques required for participation in activities.
Evaluates, records and reports on patient’s response to treatment and progress toward identified goals.
Integrates occupational therapy treatments with other aspects of patient care.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Instructs and educates patients and families.

Qualifications
Current and active California RN License. Bachelors Degree in Nursing Education or related field with focus in Maternal Child Health. Current advanced certification in area of Obstetrics. Must have five (5) years experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery or ICN. Six (6) months of computer experience to include Microsoft Windows. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) Certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate within one (1) year of employment. Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform this job. Ability to manage own time and schedule own tasks. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and direction. Must demonstrate excellent written/verbal interpersonal communication and problem solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Nursing Education.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree. BSN preferred.
Current license from the Florida Board of Nursing. BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
Previous ICU experience strongly preferred. One year prior RN experience is most helpful.
Work hours are 7 pm-7am, 72 hours per pay period (every two weeks).
