Key Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to triage and to provide and coordinate nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures and to assess patients’ care needs and take appropriate action. This position is for 24 hours in the emergency room and 12 hours in the acute care division.
Job Requirements Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of and have previous ER or ICU or CCU experience. Other required skills are IV, CPR, Cardiac Monitor and ACLS Certification. PALS preferred.

A minimum of 3-4 years of recent progressive experience in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which compatible job knowledge can be acquired is strongly preferred. Candidate must show prior experience in ongoing competence in leadership and management skills including finance/budgeting, computer applications, and organizational theory.
Effective participation in nursing continuing education programs is encouraged. All candidates must have the ability to provide leadership and direction to a large, diverse staff. As appropriate for specified department needs, candidate could be required to perform CPR and maintain BLS.
