JOB TITLE: Director Women & Children Services                 
                                    
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the total operation of the cost centers by exerting a leadership role in carrying out the mission, goals and objectives of the hospital, focusing on the patient, physician and employees as customers.  Integrates operations with other departments to insure efficiency and effectiveness of outcomes.

Responsible for customer focused service delivery.

Responsible for fiscal viability of cost centers to include budget preparation based on strategic direction of cost centers and anticipated changes in healthcare delivery.

Responsible for recruitment, hiring, motivating, and maintaining competent and satisfied staff.

Responsible for integrating quality process into operations and supporting SEP activities.

Responsible for staff development, orientation, and continuing education.

Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and instituting policies for compliance.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL/MOTOR SKILLS:
Precise hand/eye coordination and finger dexterity is necessary to carry out nursing technical skills.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families, significant others, co-workers, physicians and other staff members.  Ability to counsel individuals in a positive progressive manner.  Ability to react quickly to emergency situations, maintaining a calm confident manner.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for long periods of time; at times at a computer terminal.  Ability to speak distinctly in order to be understood.  Ability to move around hospital to attend meetings.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL ABILITIES:
Ability to succinctly present and readily understand concepts both written and orally, as well as record events accurately.  Ability to assess patients’ conditions, interpret patient data, formulate and direct others in the plan of care and evaluate patients’ response to care and treatment.  Ability to assess staff performance, develop corrective action plans and evaluate competency of staff.  High level of cognitive, analytical, and critical thinking skills.  Ability to manage duties in an environment of changing priorities and frequent deadlines.

ESSENTIAL SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, significant others, staff, physicians and others.

EXPOSURE TO HAZARDS:
Exposure to infectious diseases and blood and body fluids as indicated on OSHA Exposure Control Sheet and chemical irritants as indicated in Right To Know Manual specific to the Unit. jt111

Director of the New Outpatient Surgery Center

Seeking a dynamic, experienced leader for New Ambulatory Surgery Center.  The Director will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, cost-effective health care services in support of the  Billings Clinic mission, vision, values, and values.  Accountabilities include program/business development, quality of services, short and long range planning directly related to the business unit, set and achieve goals and objectives, fiscal control and responsibility to manage revenue and costs, physician and interdepartmental and intradepartmental relations, and human resource management. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

OR experience. Would prefer Ambulatory Surgery Experience.
Bachelors degree relevant to business unit.  Masters degree preferred. 
Three (3) to five (5) years management/leadership and program management experience.  Medical group practice management in a multi-specialty clinic preferred. 
Current licensure/certification in the State of Montana and/or Wyoming, if applicable to business unit. 
CPR certification appropriate to business unit. 
Current Florida drivers license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles
or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered as it relates to the above.
