Accountable for the management of patient care, including coordination and evaluation of care, teaching, and delegation of patient activities to the other healthcare team members. 2 years varied O.R. experience required. Skillful in room management and circulation. Team player must be able to work with physicians and peers. Must have good computer skills. Current RN license in the State ACLS required.

JOB SUMMARY: Provides patient care by collecting and processing samples and performing clinical laboratory procedures. Performs and interprets quality control and proficiency testing procedures to ensure accurate and precise test results. Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory instrumentation. Participates in procedure and instrument evaluation. Develops procedures for laboratory tests. Participates in teaching and training. May be required to work alternate shifts and weekends. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or; Associate degree in a medical laboratory science and at least three years recent experience in a laboratory of similar complexity or HEW equivalency exam CPR certification

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.Licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Florida.Minimum/no experience.Completes examinations and skills checklists within three months for new Scott & White hires.
Responsibilities

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of the hospital.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree. BSN preferred.
Current license from the Florida Board of Nursing. BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
Previous ICU experience strongly preferred. One year prior RN experience is most helpful.
Work hours are 7 am - 7 pm, 72 hours per pay period (every two weeks).
