Description
This position is responsible for reviewing, releasing and reporting test results, recognizing unexpected and notifiable results and taking appropriate actions. Collect specimens and take them to the laboratory for analysis, using appropriate or specified equipment for collecting and handling specimens appropriate for their priority and stability. Follow established labeling policies and procedures. Oversee, coordinate and assume the validity of technical functions and activities of unlicensed staff. Perform all calibration, quality control and takes appropriate corrective action when required, prepare reagents, instrument check and preventive maintenance and maintain related records.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Requirement: At least 2 years of hospital lab experience. 3 years experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist. Clinical Lab Scientist License required. BLS required.

1. Valid California State Department of Health Services Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.

The Assistant Director reports directly to the Medical Imaging Director. The primary responsibility of the Assistant Director is to provide overall support to the Medical Imaging Technical Staff and Clerical Staff. S/he will coordinate all the Imaging modalities and staff to support these modalities with the daily overall operations to provide seamless technical and clerical operations. S/he will help develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support all diagnostic and interventional activities. S/he will recommend to the Medical Imaging Director and provide justification of a sufficient number of qualified and competent staff to provide optimum level of service to patients and referring physicians. S/he works collaboratively with the Director to manage space and resources to assure efficiency and cost effectiveness. S/he will work closely with the Medical Imaging Director to develop strategic plans and budgetary needs to ensure continued growth and prosperity of the Medical Imaging Departments and the Imaging Center.

POSITION SUMMARY
The OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST evaluates for, plans, and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist collaborates with the members of the interdisciplinary care team; prepares written documentation pertaining to patient evaluation and treatment sessions; schedules patient treatments and meetings; supervises the work of Rehabilitation Aides, and Student Occupational Therapists; assists in preparing and conducting inservice training and continuing education programs; may participate in Performance Improvement activities and processes; and is expected to support the mission, vision, and values of the Medical Center .
