POSITION SUMMARY:

3. Demonstrates competence in performing testing procedures.

5. Demonstrates Customer Service and behaviors appropriately.
6. Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, qualify of care or the services delivered.
7. Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
8. Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm.
9. Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.
10. Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
· Degreed Medical Technologist or other qualification recognized by Lab Certification agencies required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
· Licensure required
· Licensure in all five specialty areas required
· BLS certified within 90 days of hire preferred

· 1-3 years preferred

It is preferred that he/she have gained knowledge needed to perform procedures in at least two modalities, such as General Radiography, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Special Procedures.  Must be available to support the department on a standby basis, during holidays and emergency call back as needed.

Must also be available for rotation of shifts and locations at campuses located in region.

4. Current CPR certification.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Qualifications
Required:  Demonstrate completion of an accredited educational program in radiologic technology. Two-year certificate, associate degree and four-year baccalaureate degree programs.

Successfully pass a certification examination by ARRT in radiology.  MRTBE licensure for AZ.  Maintain certification & licensure with appropriate continuing education requirements.

Accountable for the laboratory or laboratories maintaining accreditation with College of American Pathologists (CAP),  Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), licensing for Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for patient care and nursing. Also ensures laboratory is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Serves as a communication liaison for the Laboratory System. Interacts with physicians, nurses, clients and other healthcare professionals. Effectively communicates concerning technical and operational issues, as applicable, using appropriate verbal and written skills.
Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires certification as a medical technologist under ASCP, NCA or equivalent as defined under CLIA ‘88 regulation with six years of experience in their field and four years within their technical specialty.

Must have at least five years experience in leadership role.

Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration or related field.

Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse- Cath Lab to join our existing team! Overview: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.  Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.  Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Participates in hourly rounding. Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices. May at times be asked to be in charge for a shift(s). Responsibilities: Minimum Education:  Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school Preferred Education: BSN Preferred Experience: One (1) year of acute care experience.  Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.  Required Certifications/Licensure: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona. 1. Oversees the planning, coordination, and development of educational programs to meet the needs of the clinical staff

-  Supportive of organizational and nursing strategic plans

-  Sufficient in frequency and variety of format  (e.g. simulation, self learning modules, computer based) to meet needs of learners

2. Collaborates with clinical management and Organization & Staff Development and others to develop an annual plan for education

-  Based on staff and manager needs assessment, organizational initiatives, changes in systems/equipment/processes, changes in guidelines and requirements (e.g. Magnet, CMS core measures)

-  Meets regularly with clinical management and leadership (e.g. Shared Leadership) groups to collaborate and identify issues where education may assist with meeting goals or solving problems

3. Provides for consistency and standardization in educational approach throughout the Network

-  In conjunction with Organization and Staff Development, develops and implements standards for education materials for the Network

-  Facilitates collaboration among the clinical educators to standardize content and materials when appropriate

-  Provides resources for preceptor development and development of educational expertise at the staff level

-  Regularly audits programs and materials to ensure that standards are being met and provides feedback and suggestions for improvement

4. Ensures competency of educators

-  Reviews work periodically

-  Obtains feedback from customers and peers

-  Provides feedback

-  Provides for development of educational and technical skills of educators

Position Qualifications:

-  Master’s degree in Nursing
            or
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Education, Organizational Development or related field

-  7 years experience in education or hospital staff development

-  Verified current Arizona or other compact state RN license

-  Intermediate Microsoft Windows

-  Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite

Management experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
