Description

The Laboratory Director (LD) is responsible for the twenty-four hour operation of the Laboratory. The LD plans, organizes, and delineates duties and responsibilities of Laboratory personnel in cooperation with the Medical Director of the Laboratory. The LD maintains the highest standards of professional performance for the benefit of the patient, physician and the community in accordance with the professional standards and ethics of Medical Technologists/Technicians. He/she coordinates management and clinical functions to assure reliable test results that will contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of physiological and pathological conditions.

Qualifications

Education:

Required: Baccalaureate degree in related area(s)

Preferred: Masters degree in related (s)

Experience:

Required: Two years previous Laboratory Director experience.

Licensure/Certificates:

Required: MT (ASCP) or equivalent

Preferred: MT (ASCP) or equivalent with specialty registry.

 The Vice President – revenue cycle is responsible for supporting the delivery of healthcare process improvement, revenue cycle transformation, and fraud and abuse management projects.  The candidate will understand healthcare provider business challenges and translate them into requirements/solutions.  He/she will find, document and resolve issues on a timely basis.  The candidate should have an understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations.  He/she should have knowledge of all aspects of the revenue cycle, to include scheduling/registration, patient accounting, claims submission, payment and denial processing and out-for-collections.  The candidate will report to the Corporate Chief Operating Officer.

·         Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

·         At least 6 years of experience in healthcare provider operations (hospital or ambulatory)

·         Basic knowledge in healthcare industry standards and best practices

·         At least 6 years of experience in all areas of the healthcare revenue cycle arena

·         Strong knowledge and working with financial operating systems, specifically CPSI and HMS

·         Basic knowledge in federal financial management

·         Readiness to travel 50% travel annually

The Telemetry Registered Nurse reports directly to the unit Clinical Manager, and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in accordance with  physicians’ orders, established policies and procedures, established professional standards, and administrative hospital-wide policies.
 
Qualifications
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN desired.
• Current State Registered Nurse License.

Histologist/Needed/ASAP

Key Accountabilities / Competencies for Histology Technician/Technologist: 
1. Follows assigned work detail by efficiently prioritizing work load.
2. Performs special stains, including controls, logs in results of controls.
3. Must have the experience (minimun one year on the job) to troubleshoot/resolve processor problems.
Documents corrective action when necessary.
4. Must have quality skills in cutting, staining and embedding of tissue samples.
5. Is accurate in daily billing counts and recording Quality Control.
6. Performs accurate labeling and filing of slides and blocks.
7. Keeps Gross Room and Histology stocked, cleaned and free of safety hazards.
9. Communicates with lab personnel and medical professionals in resolving problems, promoting harmonious
relationships between hospital departments and coordinating services rendered by the laboratory.
10. Demonstrates knowledge of the occurence reporting system and uses the system to report potential safety
issues.
11. Is willing and able to be available (on-call) during the weekend (Friday night through Monday morning) to
come into the hospital to fix or repair any insturment malfunction in the Histology department. Must have
at least one full year experience on the job before being eligible for on-call.

 •          The Hospital offers many learning opportunities for the nurse who is              interested in specialized care, but not an intensive care setting.  Basic              arrhythmia monitoring, central lines, surgical and neurological care is              offered.

Dietition/Eastern US

The Dietitian leads the processes in place to ensure that the patients’ nutritional needs are met.  Job tasks and responsibilities include:
Conducts and implements comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients
Assesses, plans, writes and evaluates patient diets.
Plans menus in accordance with patient dietary requirements and general dietetic standards and regulations.
Instructs and counsels patients on dietary restrictions/recommendations.
Participates in multidisciplinary teams providing input regarding treatment plans.

Maintains records of patient reaction to prescribed diets.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
