Store Manager/Sarasota, Florida
FLSA: Exempt | Status: Full Time | Shift: Days
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
Reporting to the CEO, the store manager will lead all operations for the designated location and will have the following responsibilities:
MANAGING THE STORE EMPLOYEES
• Write store staffing schedules within budgetary constraints and at least two weeks in advance, then post approved schedules in a timely fashion. Ensure payroll percent-to-sales for the store are at or below budgeted goal.
• Track store’s employees working hours and manage the payroll (using designated software).
• Instruct and motivate performance to maximize each employee’s potential. Set goals and follow-up on employee performance by providing plans and timely feedback, address employee performance issues in a timely manner with appropriate documentation and performance appraisals, and set a positive example through modeling of effective selling skills and techniques on the sales floor.
• Effectively manage and develop staff in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel and provide coaching and professional development opportunities as appropriate.
• Maintain a positive attitude and make a valuable contribution towards maintaining store culture of passion, innovation and sustainability.
• Source and identify exceptional candidates for both current and future staffing needs. Administer Orientation Program for all new employees on their first day of employment. Create bench strength in store by identifying and developing employees for promotion into positions of greater responsibility.
• Ensure all store employees provide a high level of customer service at all times. Exercise good judgment in resolving customer service issues.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures through regular store management, staff meetings, and audits. Ensure all employee paperwork is completed accurately and on a timely basis.
PROCUREMENT AND SALES MANAGEMENT
• Drive sales and manage the overall team selling effort in the store to meet or exceed sales goals and objectives.
• Constantly monitors sales leaders and outsiders, and adjust products ordering.
• Constantly monitor competitors pricing and suggest prices adjustment to the CEO.
• Directly negotiate purchase contracts and agreements with vendors for price and terms favorable to the Company.
• Personally supervise inventory arrival and in-store allocation.
• Regularly conduct inventory’s physical inspection.
• Maintain the visual merchandising strategies for the store to create a store environment that provides our customers with a positive shopping experience. These strategies are accomplished through maintaining standards of visual presentation, implementing plan-o-grams communicating store inventory concerns through appropriate channels, maintaining basic store standards of presentation with all sizes and styles represented on the selling floor, and maintaining proper housekeeping standards on selling floor and stockroom.
• Manage all activities and aspects of the purchasing function while helping to develop a best practices purchasing program for the company.
• Suggest to CEO marketing actions like advertisement, coupons, promotions and alike.
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
• Make timely and accurate payment to the property landlord, utilities companies, and other vendors.
• Address all facilities brake-downs to the landlord.
• Timely communicate
• Direct and manage the total operations of the store. This includes stock control and management, shipping and receiving, product replenishment and management, store cleanliness, store maintenance and upkeep, store supplies upkeep and management and ensuring that store physical inventory shortage results are at or below company standards.
• Maintain an orderly system for planning, coordinating, and completion of tasks, which results in the achievement of goals and creates a positive atmosphere to drive volume.
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING
• Ensure all applicable information is communicated to fellow management and employees.
• Maintain complete and accurate store record including POS and QuickBooks database, original documents, and written communication.
• Regularly participate to management meeting with up-to-date information on the store performance.
• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required; at least 1 year of relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Fluency in English and Russian is the must,
• Results achieving attitude,
• Team management skills,
• Time management skills,
• Professionalism,
• Basic writing skills (e-mails),
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, e-mail),
• Basic web-conferencing skills (Skype),
• Product knowledge (upon completing training),
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software, QuickBooks POS and payroll (upon completing training),
• Must possess a valid FL driver’s license (three or less points) and valid-for-work in the US social security card,
