6. Completes final coding, abstracting and DRG assignment within 72 hours of discharge or maintains within 72 hours of adequate documentation.

7. Performs concurrent coding for Core Measures daily.

8. Participates in the daily Discharge Planning Meetings.

9. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

The Program Director assesses and insures the effectiveness of teh overall program in Radiologic Technology and maintains all standards for accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC/ERT).

Ideal candidate will have major part of technical experience in diagnostic technology.   The major focus of the program is diagnostic radiography which is the basis for all students then who want to branch out to the other areas under imaging.  This position is for an educator familiar with adult learning concepts and must have an affinity for working with students.  Must have a clear understanding and be up-to-date on JRC/ERT standards.  Must be a forward thinking candidate who will look at ways to promote the program for further clinical sites, expansion beyond diagnostic radiography and meeting new JRC/ERT standards.

We have been a leader in education and training of professional radiographers for years.  As an institution under the umbrella of the medical center, our students have the opportunities afforded by a hands-on hospital experience with a large radiology department, trauma center, neonatal ICU, Cancer Center, Gamma Knife, neuro-ortho floor, Liver Institute, Transplant Institute and rehabilitation unit.

Remains proficient in the use of NOVIUS, RMS, PACS, and other Radiology or Information Management systems as needed.

The Nurse Manager has the total responsibility of the management of a specialized area of nursing with twenty-four (24) hour accountability. We are in the process of a $100 million dollar expansion program with a new six story tower.  Medical Center is a little over 10 years old, and is located in one of the fastest growing communities  Currently we are a 280 bed acute care facility, and we will be adding an additional 170 beds, for a total of 450 beds, with plans to open by the end of this year.

We also recently underwent the expansion of our Emergency Room which was completed this past year, bringing us to a total of 55 beds. Our Level III NICU, which currently has nine beds, will be expanding to 33 beds with the new construction.

The Director of Respiratory Therapy/Cardio-Pulmonary candidate must be a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program, and have a minimum of five years experience as a manager/supervisor in a Respiratory Therapy and/or Cardio-Pulmonary program managing a minimum of 40 employees in a mid - large hospital. NICU, Peds, and PICU experience is required.

License/Certification required: Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.  Practitioner of Respiratory Care license, Current Blood Gas General Supervisor License in State of Nevada. A current BCLS certificate. NRP and ACLS preferred.

Description

Qualifications
