7. Performs concurrent coding for Core Measures daily.

8. Participates in the daily Discharge Planning Meetings.

Program Director for School of Radiologic Technology is responsible for the direction, coordination and daily operation of the Radiology School. Responsibilities include curriculum development, didactic/clinical instruction, student supervision, student evaluation, academic counseling and coordination of various clinical sites. The Program Director assesses and insures the effectiveness of teh overall program in Radiologic Technology and maintains all standards for accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC/ERT).

Ideal candidate will have major part of technical experience in diagnostic technology.   The major focus of the program is diagnostic radiography which is the basis for all students then who want to branch out to the other areas under imaging.  This position is for an educator familiar with adult learning concepts and must have an affinity for working with students.  Must have a clear understanding and be up-to-date on JRC/ERT standards.  Must be a forward thinking candidate who will look at ways to promote the program for further clinical sites, expansion beyond diagnostic radiography and meeting new JRC/ERT standards.

We have been a leader in education and training of professional radiographers for years.  As an institution under the umbrella of the medical center, our students have the opportunities afforded by a hands-on hospital experience with a large radiology department, trauma center, neonatal ICU, Cancer Center, Gamma Knife, neuro-ortho floor, Liver Institute, Transplant Institute and rehabilitation unit. 

Ideal candidate would have experience as a program director or instructor of a radiology school either associated with a hospital or college/university.  Ideal candidate will not be from a company whose primary focus is sales of radiology equipment or computer programs, i.e. Cerner, IBM, PACS, etc

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the cancer care experience across the continuum providing education/provision of information and support for clients and patients; facilitates decision making; advocates and improves throughput and patient satisfaction. 

Supports the individual/significant others throughout the entire cancer experience, from point of entry (which is variable) through follow-up and continued care.  Provides overall coordination of clinical services for the individual as well as the physician, outreach activities to community services, and development of work processes (data base establishment, data collection, outcomes reporting, awareness building, marketing, process improvement, throughput and evaluation) and continuous quality improvement to achieve the ultimate goals of improved patient experience, and improved physician satisfaction with cancer care services.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

*Bachelors prepared Registered Nurse (Masters Degree preferred)
*Five years staff level experience in oncology.
*Evidence of progressive responsibility in an autonomous role.
*Program development and deployment experience a plus.
*Utilizes a customer focused approach.

Job Summary:

The main function of this position is to develop, implement, administer and monitor the successful performance of our Health System service line. This position has primary responsibility for the successful achievement of all service line quality, financial, and satisfaction goals. This position ensures service line planning, consistency across the health system as appropriate, integration among physicians, coordination among departments, and marketing of service line related services across the continuum. Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Nursing, health related field or business

Minimum of three (3) years of decision making management experience handling all aspects of a service line development, implementation and operation, preferably in healthcare services

  Position Summary:
Provide skill in clinical data management to support clinical studies performed or managed.
- Provide clear verbal or written information and hands-on support to project team members and to CROs related to CRF design, data management plans, edit checks/quality review plans, query resolution processes and/or data transfers.
- Assist with the building, locking, transfer, and archiving of study databases.

Specific Job Functions:
- Familiarity of GCP is essential.
- Experience with both paper and electronic Clinical Database Systems and electronic reporting applications preferred.

- Monitor CRF receipt and data entry progress
- Coordinate data entry, answering questions from data entry operators
- Perform database updates as necessary
- Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  May also work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Perform discrepancy management (timely review and resolution of all relevant discrepancies, close interaction with project clinical research associates)
- Develop and execute database queries suitable for cross-project standardization using relational database tools
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Physical Requirements:
- Standard office environment.
- Travel will be required at times up to 5% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum of five years of related experience and/or combination of experience and education/training.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical data management experience in the bio/pharmaceutical industry or clinical trials.
- Bachelors degree
- Working knowledge of federal regulations regarding Good Clinical Practice (GCPs).
- Basic understanding of biostatistical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret scientific/clinical data presentations (charts, graphs, data tables, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal management skills, both internal and external
- High level of professionalism and poise in a variety of business situations.
- Good judgment with the ability to think and react spontaneously.
- Knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements and ICH guidelines.

Our Senior Care Unit opened July 1, 2007.  This is a 15-bed short-stay geriatric psychiatric facility specializing in the treatment of people who are of the
Medicare age and older.  Patients will receive care and treatment for Alzheimer’s, depression and other conditions that are often part of the aging process. 
 
Aging can present unique mental health needs and life challenges that older adults often find difficult to overcome. The Senior Care Unit at Artesia General Hospital will assist older adults and their families in understanding and in learning to cope with these problems related to the aging process. Our goal is to maintain and enhance the patient’s self respect during every phase of treatment
 
We take a holistic view through the assessment and treatment of the physical, emotional, spiritual and lifestyle changes that com with age. Care is administered through our clinical team of professionals lead by a Psychiatrist and consisting of Nurses, Social Workers and Technicians who are specially trained in psychiatric care.
 
We place great value upon family involvement in the treatment process by urging
family members to participate as much as possible in the program we provide.

Throughout treatment our Social Worker will maintain contact with the family and arrange for family therapy as needed. We believe that a patient’s recovery is enhanced when the family participates in the process.. We also work closely with the family to develop an aftercare plan, which will include the most appropriate living arrangements

Basic Purpose:

This position efficiently and effectively manages the daily processes of Ultrasound and assures compliance with all policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation standards.  The Ultrasound Supervisor assists Radiology managers and physicians in maintaining the highest degree of clinical/operational performance and customer satisfaction.  Additionally, the Ultrasound Supervisor supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives  Health system and demonstrates a commitment of quality service to our patients and their families, the community, the physicians, and our associates.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs leadership functions that support the goals of Medical Imaging  and the mission, vision, and values of  Health System
Oversees operations and manages section’s resources to assure efficient and effective performance of services provided.  Assists Radiology management in developing, administering, and monitoring the departmental budget to ensure cost-effective operations within authorized budget allocations.
Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge and understanding of the section being managed.  Oversees scheduling and imaging of patients to ensure smooth daily operations and quality services.  Demonstrates clinical competency on an annual basis as evidenced by completion of a Competency Based Orientation Tool for Clinical Associates in Ultrasound.  Performs Ultrasound Scans and provides direct patient care as needed.
Orients, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the Ultrasound staff to ensure safe and effective operations.  Conducts staff meetings at least monthly to communicate information, discuss safety/quality issues, and monitor continued understanding and compliance with MIF and departmental policies.  Develops and empowers section’s Associates to the benefit of the Associate and the department.
Assists with the development, revision, and enforcement of departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and standards to ensure quality care, efficiency, and procedural compliance.
Remains proficient in the use of NOVIUS, RMS, PACS, and other Radiology or Information Management systems as needed.
Initiates Performance Improvement activities for Ultrasound utilizing the FOCUS PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) approach to improvement.
Serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, other healthcare providers, and customers.  Establishes effective work relationships and maintains effective communications with all customers.  Evaluates and resolves customer satisfaction and quality/performance issues in a timely manner.  Creates an environment that promotes customer service excellence.
With the physician Director for Ultrasound, conducts subject research, evaluates, recommends, and implements new programs, services, technologies, and operation tools.

ARDMS registered in Ultrasonography
Registry in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Neurosonography preferred.
Three years relevant experience.
One to two years supervisory experience preferred.
