CT Tech-Pool Weekends

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Prior general radiology experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years CT hospitals experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography ARRT, CRT and CPR.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Computed Tomography R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT).

SPECIAL SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and
medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
SUPERVISES: Functional supervision will be exercised over cross-training Radiology Technologists and/or students.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Assists in evaluation of new procedures and equipment. 15%

- Performs proper billing/charging with hospital computer systems. 10%

- Uses CT equipment. Proficiency with general operating procedure i.e. start up procedures, calibration of equipment, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, malfunctioning equipment and problem solving.

- Maintains inter and intra departmental communication via phone, fax, computer etc. Maintains appropriate communication with radiologists. In depth knowledge of human anatomy, proper patient positioning and good
technical judgment.

- Adequate assessment and explanation of procedure to patient before testing occurs. CT protocols, biopsy and all other invasive procedure. Adequate history, consent form and lab values checked and documented before administering IV contrast.

- Proper protocol for filing and copying of films.

- Assesses and prioritizes a rapidly changing workload. Completes work in a timely manner. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment. Shares responsibility for organizing supplies, tracking, stocking and storing equipment and keeping the department clean.

- Utilizes personal protective equipment to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation and infectious hazards.

- Actively participates in department management by providing input at meetings and reading communication.

- Identifies, proposes solutions and assists in implementation of ideas for improvement in patient care and departmental / hospital operations.

- Functions as a patient advocate. Participates in the successful implementation of change.

- Decrease waste in supplies and equipment.

- Position is required to work on-call (stand-by) shifts and return to work as outlined in the department policy.

Center Operations Manager/RN / Dialysis Nurse

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate nursing services of a RAI care center
Provide leadership for the clinical staff in the day-to-day clinic operation
Collaborate with the Center Director in personnel actions, hiring and yearly evaluations
Plan and direct the nursing care of the patients
Supervise the clinical activities of all clinical staff

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.  RN license in state of practice; CNN preferred 

Experience:     A minimum of three years of dialysis nursing experience.  Management experienced preferred.

Description
 The Infection Control Practitioner is a professional nurse who is responsible for ensuring compliance with state, federal and JCAHO standards relating to infection control.  Reports to the Director of Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance. The Infection Control Practitioner is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the hospital wide infection control program.  The Infection Control Practitioner collaborates with and acts as a consultant for the department managers and staff.  Advises, implements and evaluates measures necessary to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital and community.
Qualifications
 Education:
    * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
    * Minimum of five years experience as a Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background preferred.
    * Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, program administration and epidemiology.
Certifications/Licenses:
    * Registered Nurse

We are in the process of a $100 million dollar expansion program with a new six story tower.  Medical Center is a little over 10 years old, and is located in one of the fastest growing communities in  Nevada. Currently we are a 280 bed acute care facility, and we will be adding an additional 170 beds, for a total of 450 beds, with plans to open by the end of this year.

We also recently underwent the expansion of our Emergency Room which was completed this past year, bringing us to a total of 55 beds. Our Level III NICU, which currently has nine beds, will be expanding to 36 beds with the new construction.

Description/Purpose Of Position:

Responsible for the 24 hour management of the assigned unit assuring patient care meets the standard of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Experience:
Minimum of three (3)years clinical experience in Pediatrics and a minimum of two (2) years progressive management experience preferred.

License/Certification:
Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current PALS Certification. Current BCLS Certification.

Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
