Description:

This Manager will oversee a department of 10+ FTEs which handle the transport of 2,000 children per year, locally, country-wide and even overseas. The Nurse Manger provides leadership to achieve unit, departmental, and institutional objectives within a rapidly changing environment. Applies advanced knowledge of nursing and management to manage systems of patient care, personnel development, fiscal and unit operations, performance improvement, and program development. Promotes innovation and excellence in clinical, service, and team performance. Needs to analyze and interpret complex data sets and reports (e.g. variance analysis, financial, quality population specific reports) to improve patient, financial and quality care outcomes. Utilizes verbal, non-verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships. Negotiates resolution of issues that are consistent with unit, dept. and organizational objectives. Problem solve and appropriately addresses issues. Create a climate that fosters patient and family centered compassionate care, innovation, cooperation, collaboration and teamwork. Plan, organize, prioritize, and manage work.

Qualifications: Master’s - Current Licensure – Professional State License- requires master of Science degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Applicants without the required degree may be considered, per Nursing guidelines.
Seven years of experience as registered nurse in pediatrics, including 3-5 years with leadership and/or management responsibilities. Pediatric transport experience preferred and pediatric intensive care exp. preferred.

Summary:
Provides clinical nutritional and dietetic services to patients and their families directed at supporting and maximizing the nutritional status and adjustment of the patient by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assess the nutritional and related dietetic needs of each patient, including current dietary patterns; food preferences, selection, and preparation; and level of understanding of dietary intervention as a prescribed treatment.

- Consult with the physician regarding assessment and clinical data and recommends therapeutic diets to meet the needs of the patient.

- Counsel patients and their families on the prescribed diet, including nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and preparation, economics and adaptations required to best match the prescribed diet to the patient’s lifestyle.

- Document in the medical record an initial assessment of each patient and at least monthly progress notes which reflect all clinical nutritional and dietetic services provided. These shall include identification of current problems, current goals and the actions planned to achieve goals, and evaluation of patient progress.

- Participate in team review of each patient to develop POC, to review patient progress, and to recommend changes in treatment based on the patient’s current nutritional and dietetic needs.

- Assist other personnel through education and direction to support the dietetic services program by learning to deal effectively with nutritional and dietetic problems as they arise.

- Maintain continuing education including participation in professional organizations related to End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patient care management.

Education/Experience:
Registered Dietician current state licensure as applicable; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience after registration as dietician.
Certificates and Licenses:
Current Registered Dietician as recognized by the American Dietetic Association

Our Regional Medical Clinic is currently looking for a full time family practice physician who will do OB. Currently three physicians, one PA, and one NP on staff. Highlights include:

- Physician would be employed by the Cherokee Regional Hospital
- Base salary of $160K - $170K with yearly production bonus
(total yearly compensation well over $250K)

HISTORY

Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital has been providing health care services to the area since 1916. Due to an increased need for health care throughout the last 89 years, SVMH has continued to expand, including an addition in 1951, an additional building in 1965 and adding a third floor in 1967. In 1996, the $1.3 million True Medical Clinic was built to provide space for several physicians. The single story medical clinic has more than 12,000 square feet of exam rooms, offices and waiting area. Sioux Valley Medical Associates also opened clinic offices in Holstein (1996), Marcus (1996) and Aurelia (2001).

SVMH also recognized the need for a housing complex that would provide some amenities for seniors who would like to live an independent life minus the responsibilities of caring for a home. In 1999, The Beck opened its doors. Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital completed the health care circle when it opened the Wellness Center in October of 2002. This state-of-the-art facility provides a wide range of activities for people of all ages and exercise levels. Currently, Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital serves the residents of Cherokee County and 6 surrounding counties through hospital, clinic, housing and wellness services.

In 2005, Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital officially became Cherokee Regional Medical Center. Currently, CRMC is a 25 bed critical access hospital which serves residents of Cherokee County and surrounding 5 counties. Cherokee Regional Medical Center continues to reexamine and renew itself in order to remain timely and true to its mission of providing quality healthcare services to the area.

Cherokee Iowa has a population of 5,000 residents and is home to a local symphony, arts council, three day jazz festival, rodeo, museum, and many other events.
