Department: CATH LAB
Summary: Responsible for the organization, staffing, planning, budgeting, training, technology,orientation and quality improvement of Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catherization Lab, Cardiac Observation Area (Pre and Post recovery for cardiac diagnostic/ibterventional and peripheral vascular interventional procedures), and Electrophysiology Program. Ensures that personnel adhere to hospital, departmental performance and regulatory standards and guidelines. Works to ensure that the identified needs of the medical staff, patient, family, related departments co-workers and other customers are addressed in as timely and efficient manner within the health system. Participates in leadership role in program assessment, improvements and new program implementation.
Hours: FULL TIME Varies, Primarily Days 40 Hours
Skills: Demonstrates the ability to plan, direct and improve the processes and functions of Cardiac Catheritization Lab, Cardiac Observation Area and Electrophysiology Program. Includes, operational excellence and quality care, program growth, space planning, expense control, revenue growth, technology assessment and managment. Demonstrates ability to organize, orient, train and develop staff. Able to interact effectively with physicians, patients, family, vendors, hospital staff and other customers. Must be able to deal fairly and consistently with personnel under his/her supervision. Communicates effectively with administration, medical staff, department directors, subordinates, and other hospital staff. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills. Thorough knowledge of procedures performed on the unit with ability to assist other staff members and physicians. Participate in leadership role with in the CardiacVascular Operational Team in order to positively impact the Cardiac Vascular Service Line goals. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to effect improvements in patient care and efficiency/effectiveness.
Experience: Previous experience in formal leadership role in Cardiac Cath Lab for at least 4 years.
Education: Masters Degree in Healthccare Administration Preferred, Business Administration or Nursing
Licensure:
RN (Registered Nurse)
