Qualifications:
BS degree in Medical Technology or Biological Science. MT (ASCP), NCA certification or equivalent. 1-3 years generalist experience, including Blood Bank. Recent hospital experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis, evaluate validity of results
• Perform hematological, chemical, serological, clinical microscopy procedures
• Calibration set-ups, preventive maintenance, and general care of laboratory equipment
• Select, prepare and use appropriate control materials to monitor assays
• Keeps current on advances in laboratory sciences
• Promote effective teamwork and relationships with co-workers
