Director of PICU

• JOB DESCRIPTION: A complete list of demands for this position will be provided by Human Resources.
• The Director is responsible for the care given to patients within Peds/PICU; day to day departmental operations and productivity; future development and budgetary projections for the service line. The Director maintains the highest degree of efficiency and safety in providing quality care in all invasive and non-invasive procedures including quality improvement, staff competency, inventory control and cost containment, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and physician satisfaction. The Director collaborates and coordinates the efforts of Peds/PICU staff to accomplish the mission of Las Palmas Medical Center. The Director leads by example and holds others accountable for adhering to the goals, policies, and procedures
SALARY, BONUS AND RELOCATION:
$110.000.+ YEAR + INCENTIVES
Must have current Nursing License
BLS for Healthcare providers preferred
3-5 years previous experience in a Director position
Specialty certifications within 1 year of position, as appropriate.
Analytical and interpretive skills
Strong organizational skills
Graduate degree preferred, BSN Min.Current RN license manadatory, BLS, basic fetal monitoring, . ACLS preferred.
Certification in specialty area desirable.
five+ years management experience with BSN or Bachelors degree in a related health care field
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION Skills and experience needed:
must have experience in busy, high acuity EPICU department
