This is a working Laboratory Manager/Supervisor position. In addition to MT duties, they will also assist the Administrative Lab Director with supervisory duties and will have 1 MT report directly to them. Following procedures established by the Section Heads and medical directors, a Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of laboratory tests in many areas of the laboratory, including High Complexity Tests as defined by CLIA. A MT is responsible for accuracy and reporting of results of application of principles, theories and techniques, professional judgment, computer proficiency, microscopic proficiency, and good communications skills.
BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the biological or chemical sciences as required for California State licensure.Completion of an accredited CLS program with requisite internship. At least 2 years of recent/current CLS hospital and benchwork experience required. Management experience is preferred. Valid and current California CLS license. Must provide original/original duplicate license upon hire.
