hospital IP experience mandatory –
Education : Bachelor of Science Nursing degree, preferred. Work Experience: Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience, six months previous experience in Infection Control, preferred. Skills Requirements: Knowledgeable in use of computer systems. Good understanding of medical terminology, microbiology, and a basic understanding of infectious disease processes. Ability to present surveillance data in a professional, non-threatening manner, and negotiate the spectrum of responses such data may elicit from the clinical, nursing, and medical staff. Licensing/Certification: Current RN License, current AHA BLS. Completion of basic training program for infection prevention, CIC mandatory. Language Requirements: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
