JOB DESCRIPTION: A complete list of demands for this position will be provided by Human Resources.
Directs the staff and programs of the critical care unit. Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for critical care programs. Ensures quality care for patients. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to CNO.
Strong operationally, and will need good budget experience. Want someone who can gain respect of staff – Will need to be very visible – able to step into bedside if needed. Need to be open and transparent with physicians and staff and open to change and improvement. Experience working in Lean Environment very helpful. Want someone stable and looking long-term.
Requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
