We are currently seeking a full-time experienced endoscopy registered nurse licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of VA, with current hospital-based endoscopy and conscious sedation experience. The endoscopy department at John Randolph Medical Center is a 12-room operation with an average daily census of 10-15 patients. We are rebuilding our endoscopy department with new physician practices and seek an experienced nurse to join our growing team!

Requirements:
3-5 years of RN experience in a hospital endoscopy setting. Must have conscious sedation experience and ERCP experience. Must be currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and ACLS. Excellent customer service and communication skills required, and experience with electronic documentation system is highly preferred.

Endoscopy department operates Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3pm, with call coverage around the clock. This position does require rotation in the call coverage schedule to include second, third and holiday call. We do staff with RNs and experienced endo techs.

Our Hospital’s ICU consists of six acute care adult beds as well as a 16-unit telemetry monitoring system. Scope of services includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and diabetic complications as well as high-risk surgical patients and obstetrical patients who would benefit from comprehensive nursing care.

Our average 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio provides RNs the opportunity to care for the patient while addressing family concerns. All RNs are ACLS-certified, with many nurses also holding Trauma Nursing and Pediatric certifications.We require current RN licensure and BLS certification upon applying to this unit.

The Manager of Pharmacy Services is responsible for directing all aspects of distributive and clinical pharmacy services and assuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, accrediting organizations and hospital and corporate policy and procedures.  He/she assists the director with the coordination of the pharmaceutical care planning process and participates in interdisciplinary teams to further develop patient centered pharmacy services and customer satisfaction.  The Manager assists with the implementation and maintenance of the pharmacy computer system and assures its integration with the hospital-wide information system. He/she coordinates a competency based, operational training program for the professional and technical staff, as well as, occasionally assuming the duties of the on-line supervisor as a role model for the pharmacy staff.
