Manager of Clinical Applications-Behavioral Health
Position Summary:
Plan, direct, and supervise the implementation and support of Clinical Applications. Works with user organizations, Corporate management, facility management and vendors to solve business problems through the implementation and support of IS technologies and business practices.

Essential Job Duties

Plans, directs, and supervises the daily activities of assigned staff.
Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates, counsels and disciplines assigned staff.
Manages and coordinates with software vendors application issues and problems.
Documents project plans to include but not limited to tasks, resources, and schedule.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progress in accordance with schedule and budget.
Prepares project status reports and keeps management and others informed of project status and related issues.
Keeps abreast of IS technologies.
Develops the technical, application, and industry knowledge expertise of assigned staff.
Works with vendors to assess new products and clinical applications potentially beneficial to the BH division.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent.
10+ years experience in business information systems, preferable in healthcare.
3+ years of departmental management experience.
Knowledge of software development life cycle.
Strong working knowledge of a cross-section of IS technologies and healthcare Clinical Applications processes.
Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and project management software applications.
Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills at all levels.
Proficient in application training either one on one, or in small and large groups.
Travel - 30% - 40% required.
