Dean of Nursing and Health Professions must be a proven healthcare leader whose experience includes planning and development of academic programs in healthcare fields or related experience in the health professions. The successful candidate must present a strong track record of entrepreneurship, effective organization and management of healthcare academic or practitioner programs, scholarly and professional achievements in healthcare fields. Experience with academic accreditation and professional licensure of healthcare programs is an advantage. Candidates should be able to address the particular needs for healthcare workforce development in the Washington region as well as nationally, and to identify funding opportunities to support creation of new academic programs to meet those workforce needs. Candidates must have an earned doctorate or doctoral equivalent in the healthcare field, e.g., Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, or one of the allied health professions.
