Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Alaska

 Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required. Masters degree, preferred. Must have current RN license in

Coordinator, Ventricular Assisted Device

directs the VAD program operation, develops strategy and oversees financial management for optimal outcomes. Participates in the clinical management of pre and post implant patients in collaboration with the physicians. Coordinates the clinical evaluation of potential VAD candidates. Coordinates discharge plans and verifies patient knowledge base prior to discharge. Provides follow-up consultation for discharged patients and sees patients at clinic visits. Educates nursing staff and patient/caregiver on patient care, maintaining VAD equipment, and safety measures. Provides education and support to community health care professionals who may encounter VAD patients. Serves as a clinical expert and leadership consultant to nursing, members of  Healthcare and to the larger community. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines and other regulatory agencies. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in Nursing or graduate of a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program. Must have four years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or NP/PA including two years in cardiology or cardiac surgery. Acute care experience (critical care/transplantation/VAD experience) preferred. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician’s Assistant in the state of Georgia.

Care Manager

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in an applicable field is required and must have a current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.  Professional certification in case management or clinical specialty is preferred.   Must have at least five (5) years of nursing experience in a medical surgical acute care setting, additional experience in case management, home care, and utilization review/management is preferred.

NURSE ANESTHETIST (CRNA)

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists are licensed, registered, advanced practice nurses who have completed a post graduate certificate or a master’s degree in anesthesia. Nurse anesthetists must become certified by successfully completing a national qualifying examination in the specialty of anesthesia. To maintain their license to practice anesthesia, CRNAs must be recertified biannually by attending 40 contact hours of continuing education programs.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics and pharmacology as related to anesthesia. The major clinical component providing experience with a variety of anesthesia techniques and procedures for all types of surgery and obstetrics.
Fluent in verbal and written language skills.
Cultural competence and language skills for patient population is desired

CT Tech-Pool Weekends

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Prior general radiology experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years CT hospitals experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography ARRT, CRT and CPR.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Computed Tomography R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT).

SPECIAL SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and
medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
SUPERVISES: Functional supervision will be exercised over cross-training Radiology Technologists and/or students.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Assists in evaluation of new procedures and equipment. 15%

- Performs proper billing/charging with hospital computer systems. 10%

- Uses CT equipment. Proficiency with general operating procedure i.e. start up procedures, calibration of equipment, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, malfunctioning equipment and problem solving.

- Maintains inter and intra departmental communication via phone, fax, computer etc. Maintains appropriate communication with radiologists. In depth knowledge of human anatomy, proper patient positioning and good
technical judgment.

- Adequate assessment and explanation of procedure to patient before testing occurs. CT protocols, biopsy and all other invasive procedure. Adequate history, consent form and lab values checked and documented before administering IV contrast.

- Proper protocol for filing and copying of films.

- Assesses and prioritizes a rapidly changing workload. Completes work in a timely manner. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment. Shares responsibility for organizing supplies, tracking, stocking and storing equipment and keeping the department clean.

- Utilizes personal protective equipment to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation and infectious hazards.

- Actively participates in department management by providing input at meetings and reading communication.

- Identifies, proposes solutions and assists in implementation of ideas for improvement in patient care and departmental / hospital operations.

- Functions as a patient advocate. Participates in the successful implementation of change.

- Decrease waste in supplies and equipment.

- Position is required to work on-call (stand-by) shifts and return to work as outlined in the department policy.

Center Operations Manager/RN / Dialysis Nurse

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate nursing services of a RAI care center
Provide leadership for the clinical staff in the day-to-day clinic operation
Collaborate with the Center Director in personnel actions, hiring and yearly evaluations
Plan and direct the nursing care of the patients
Supervise the clinical activities of all clinical staff
Determine patient and staff schedules
Oversees job specific training and mentoring programs

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.  RN license in state of practice; CNN preferred 

Experience:     A minimum of three years of dialysis nursing experience.  Management experienced preferred.

Micro-Biology Supervisor

Responsible for assisting in the supervision of assigned staff in accordance with their job descriptions, maintaining a high standard of work and for timely and accurate reporting of tests in their section on all shifts.  Main function is to lead the Microbiology Department in performing identification and susceptibilities of microorganisms. Requires knowledge in the identification and reporting of parasites. Must be cognizant of accrediting agency requirements and maintains manuals, logs and other documents to their standards.  Monitors and compiles contamination rates of blood cultures.  Compiles data for infection control reports and antibiograms.  Must keep current with infectious disease agents and current technologies.  Performs bench work as needed and in accordance with Policy and Procedures.  Organizes and prepares specimens for analysis, performs routine analysis and reports results in a timely manner.  Reports critical values according to patient age.  Performs duties which may require both technical and professional judgment.  Participates in developing and implementing all policies relating to quality improvement, quality control, instrument and inventory maintenance and personnel safety and productivity. May be required to evaluate and write procedures for new methods, participate in teaching, continuing education, validation of instruments or methods and other supervisory activities.  May be required to supervise the entire laboratory on rotating weekends and holidays, to attend laboratory related committee meetings and to perform other such duties as required by the Laboratory Director.  This position summary contains the most relevant duties and responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned
