Candidate must possess board certification in Geriatric Psychiatry. Position includes admission of adult psychiatry patients to the inpatient facility, and daily management of those patients. In addition, candidate will provide inpatient psychiatry consultations for a busy 1100 bed hospital. Candidate will also evaluate and provide follow-up care; or supervise the physician extender in the provision of care to patients in 4 extended care facilities. Position also involves performing office evaluations, medication reviews and follow-ups in the out-patient setting. The current patient mix is approximately 50% geriatric, and the remaining 50% is a variety of other adult psychiatry diagnoses.
