Licensure Required
Job Summary: The physical therapist uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance to the physician’s prescription.
Education/License: Graduate of an APTA approved School of Physical Therapy.
Current Alaskan Physical Therapy License in good standing.
Experience/Skills/Abilities: 1 year PT experience preferred. Prefer experience with diverse populations including inpatient CCU, acute and rehab as well as outpatient services. Must be computer literate and have good communication skills.
Physical Demands: Continuous lifting and pushing of up to 10 pounds.
Occasional lifting and pushing up to 35 pounds (1/3 of x).
Occasional maximum assistance transfers exceeding 100 pounds (1 or 2 person transfers).
Vision and hearing accuracy with or without Assistive devices.
Good eye-hand coordination; high level of general coordination.
Hazardous Exposure/Working Conditions: Uses universal precautions for patient care and safe lifting techniques.
