JOB SUMMARY: Plans, organizes and directs nursing activities in accordance with Health System and department Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy to meet customer needs. Provides consultative direction and expertise in all areas of nursing services to ensure that the four pillars of the Culture of Excellence which are Partnering, Service, Quality and Cost are defined, measured and maintained. Directs the analysis and enhancements of the practice models utilized across the department of nursing. Coordinates’ learning needs assessment, continuing education, inservices, evaluation and counseling to ensure competency of staff. Coordinates the development and implementation of standards of care, policies and procedures to provide quality nursing service and meet regulatory requirements. Prepares budget for operational and capital expenses and evaluates activity compared to budget EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Possession of RN license or license eligible Degree with BS in nursing or healthcare related Five years supervisory/management experience in nursing Post graduate training or education in management/administration Graduate degreed in nursing, healthcare administration/management or business preferred CPR certification
