 Position Summary (HIM Director)
Directs and supervises all Medical Records Department functions, including record completion, transmission, indexing, abstracting, transcription services, coding research, filing, storage, tumor registry, retrieval, correspondence and maintenance of the medical records in keeping of State and Government regulations. Responsible for ensuring all services meets the expectation of the customer.  Access to all Patient Health Information.
 
Position Summary (Chief Privacy Officer)
The HIM Director is the designated Chief Privacy Officer for the organization and is responsible for overseeing all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization’s information privacy practices. (In conjunction with the Corporate Privacy/Security Officer)
