Position Summary:
Functioning within the framework of professional nursing practice, the Manager, Patient Unit supports and assists the Director. This position has accountability for managing resources (human, material, and financial), to ensure quality, cost-effective delivery of patient services across the continuum. This is accomplished by direct action, delegation, coaching, & support of unit-based shared governance councils. Reports to Director, Professional Practice.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required* Master’s degree preferred. 1 degree must be in nursing. Current CT RN license required. Minimum 3 years OR clinical experience in the specialty of Neurosurgery and spine. Demonstrates progressive leadership skills. Strong written & verbal skills required. *Exceptions to educational requirement will be evaluated on an individual basis. A strong candidate in the process of completing the education requirement will be considered. Continued progress toward completion of educational requirement within 5 years will be required.
