Reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for a wide variety of receptionist and clerical duties for the Human Resources Department. Responsible for answering and directing phone calls to proper staff. Accurately communicates messages allowing timely follow-up. Responsible for greeting customers and referring them to the appropriate staff member for service. Sorts and distributes mail. Assists applicants with paperwork, on-line application and test taking. Orders department supplies and requests maintenance for the department when needed. May have to deal with difficult customers. Meets new people regularly. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
High school diploma or GED required with post-secondary education preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Emphasis on outstanding telephone technique, customer service, computer operation, key boarding, equipment and general office procedures. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Must perform work accurately with great attention to detail. Must follow appropriate procedures. Outstanding organizational skills are required. Accurate computer skills are required to perform routine office procedures. Must be proficient or show desire to become proficient in computer skills. Must exhibit tact, courtesy, and patience when dealing with the public and hospital staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must have the ability to speak well in public. Must have the ability to work well in a stressful, fast paced environment with constant interruptions. Adapts easily to change. Must exhibit excellent time management skills as well as be able to plan and organize in an effective manner.
