Position Summary:

Responsible for delivering a planned course of radiation therapy, using ionizing radiation prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Performs other duties as assigned.

II. Essential Functions:

* Delivers a planned course of radiotherapy accurately and effectively following the physician prescription.
* Responsible for taking portal films on new patients, and making sure patient is in the exact position to be treated.
* Assists Radiation Oncologist in tumor localization using conventional or CT simulator, recording all parameters for treatment, and figuring patient dosage.
* Processes radiographs using automatic film processing equipment following established processing procedures and techniques.

III. Accountability:

Reports to Team Leader.

IV. Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Graduate from an accredited program of Radiation Therapy required, BS preferred.
* ARRT Radiation Therapy or registry eligible, and CPR certifications required.
