 Description
 
Provides professional and technical skills and knowledge to ensure accurate and timely performance of microbiology services and reporting of results to responsible party. Performs other duties as requested. Reports to the Lab Manager and  Director of Laboratory Services.
Qualifications
Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide accurate, timely testing of clinical specimens, preferably in multiple laboratory disciplines with strong background in Microbiology.
Good clinical judgment and problem solving abilities. 
Possesses additional  technical expertise in at least one laboratory modality. 
Possesses skills in leadership.
Good communication skills in English.
Current Florida Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Specialty License.
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences preferred.
One year internship in Florida approved program or equivalent. 
Prefer 6 years of previous clinical laboratory experience in microbiology in a hospital environment.
