Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. A 33-bed medical/surgical unit with an emphasis on surgical patients. Most common diagnoses: Surgery and Orthopedics. Delivery of care - modified team.

Requirements: BS or MS in P.T., current P.T. license, completion of AMA approved curriculum. Bachelors in P.T. req., Masters pref. Three to five years neuro patient experience.
Promotes rational drug therapy for Medical Center patients by coordinating drug distribution activities, monitoring patients for potential drug related problems, insuring appropriate drug therapy and serving as a drug information resource for patients, physicians, nurses and other health professionals. Requirements: Hospital pharmacy experience in unit-dose, IV admixtures, and drug therapy monitoring, licensed by the Commission of Pharmacy or eligible for same through reciprocation required. Annual re-licensure with proof of 15 continuing education contact hours as required by law. BCLS certification preferred.
Requirements: State OT license, Bachelor’s degree, 1-3yrs. experience.

The Manager is responsible for coordinating program/ services with other local and state agencies to ensure integration of various programs and services. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that assigned services are provided 24- hours/day, seven days/week and reports directly to the Administrative Director Cardiopulmonary/Vascular. Requirements:Valid driver’s license required, Maine State Respiratory Care license as a therapist required , Must be an RRT, Basic Cardiac Life Support required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred ,Cardiac Arrhythmia Recognition preferred, Certifications or registry in area (cardiopulmonary, echocardiography, etc.) or related area preferred, 5 years or more, in respiratory care services and progressive Management/supervisory experience in a healthcare/hospital setting required.

Promotes nutrition care of patients by assessing and monitoring nutritional status, providing medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education. Requirements: State of Dietitian license. Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Assoc. preferred. Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition. One year experience in clinical setting required. Computer literacy preferred.
