Provides patient care including therapeutic exercises, modalities, gait and transfer training to improve patients’ functional level. Performs initial evaluation of new patients and develops plan of care. Establishes long and short-term goals for patients. Maintains daily records of treatment and completes necessary patient care reports. Oversees PTA, Athletic Trainer and Physical Medicine/Rehab Tech, as appropriate.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities, patient/family training and education, in-services, meetings and continuing education seminars to ensure quality care is provided. Works on weekends on a rotating basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor of Science or Masters degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Must be licensed to practice as physical therapist in Florida
