The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging services in the specialty of Ultrasound.  This position is responsible for the operation of  GE  to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes.  Will Interview patients, explain procedures, and assist in positioning the patient for procedures and review test results with the radiologists and referring physicians.  MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:  Completion of a minimum of 1year schooling in a formal program for diagnostic medical sonography, On-the-job training and experience equivalents may be considered in lieu of completion of a diagnostic medical sonography program for staff who obtained their training prior to the availability of formal training program and are currently registered with the ARDMS in Physics and Abdomen or OB/GYN, registered with the ARDMS within six 6 months of employment in Physics and Abdomen or OB/GYN,  and fundamental understanding of doppler physics.
