Registered Nurse/OR  

Job Description: 
This position provides nursing care to the pre and post-operative patient including the management of data collection, recognizing and managing fear, anxiety and pain.  Candidates must be able to recognize post-operative complications of respiratory alteration fluid volume deficit, and impaired cognitive and perceptual patterns.  It requires knowledge of the behaviors, developmental stages, physical and emotional needs, life cycle changes, culture, and comfort and care appropriate to the population served.  The populations that are served by the department are identified in the department’s scope of service.
 
 
Job Qualifications: 
An  Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing is required as well as current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or current licensure as a registered nurse in another state with evidence of application for Indiana Licensure. Another requirement for this position is certification in CPR and  ACLS.  Critical care experience is preferred.  The candidate must successfully complete annual mandatory and optional competency reviews.
