Graduate of at least an 18 month training program in non-invasive cardiology where student’s perform studies under the direction of a Cardiologist using M-mode, 2D, color, and pulsed doppler, as well as learn stress testing and blind doppler techniques OR a graduate from an AMA accredited sonography program. Must be able to demonstrate/articulate proficiency in general or cardiovascular ultrasound studies. Ability to deal with confidential information. Ability to efficiently manage own time and schedule own time. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and direction. Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) year college diploma in sonographic technology, biology, or a related life or physical science. Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in at least one specialty. Certification as a Health Care Provider - Basic Life Support - CPR.
The RN functions within the full scope of licensure and will implement the nursing process to include the following: assess patient and family needs; develop a plan of care based on assessment; direct implementation of the plan of care for a group of patients in collaboration with the charge nurse and review and evaluate effectiveness of care plan. These duties include lifting and turning of patients, performing prescribed treatments, assisting with ADL (activities of daily living), and administration of medications PO, IM, and IV.
The RN assures that physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual, cultural, and self-care needs of patients and families are addressed.

Unit Specific: Completion of unit specific orientation and competencies. Ability to write, read, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job. ABC’s of CPR. Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. If MHA and/or own vehicle used on Association business, must possess valid Florida Driver’s License and upon request proof of liability insurance.
Preferred qualifications: Baccalaureated Degree, and, National certification in area of specialty. One (1) year experience in an acute care hospital.
Unit Specific: Completion of unit specific orientation and competencies. Ability to write, read, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job. ABC’s of CPR. Requires a minimum of six (6) months Mother/Baby (postpartum) experience. Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Advanced fetal monitoring class (minimum of 4 CEU’s) within the last two (2) years or current fetal monitoring cerification.
Preferred qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree, and, National certification in area of specialty. TNCC certificate. ENPC certificate. PALS certificate (or other critical care certifications). CCRN certificate. Proficiency with: PA pressure lines, Arterial lines and monitoring, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, IntraAortic Balloon Pumps, Intracranial Pressure Monitoring and Ventriculostomies. Ability to assist with bedside procedures such as emergency resuscitation, chest tube insertion, central line and Swan Ganz insertion, tracheotomy, intubation.

First Year Requirements: EKG recognition. TNCC, PALS or ENPC certifications.
Preferred qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree, and, National certification in area of specialty. Proficiency with: continuous bedside monitoring and Telemetry, vascoactive medications, hemodynamic monitoring and pressure lines, patients receiving mechanical ventilation. One (1) year prior Emergency Department nursing experience.
