- 3-5 years experience
The RN OR/ PACU Nurse is specially trained to practice nursing during the perioperative or postoperative period. The dimensions of practice include assessment, intervention and postoperative evaluation. It is a practice designed to meet individuals needs through the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the surgical experience. Included within this assignment is the responsibility for ensuring effective communication between him or herself, the patient, other staff, supervision, physicians, and other hospital departments.
